VMFH Division Support Services is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near TACOMA, WA

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and assisting with local contracting and purchased service agreements (e.g., landscaping, courier, and food services) in accordance with category team strategy, professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Implements national purchased service and local contracts and has primary divisional responsibility for the relationship with CHI’s purchased services vendors and other local vendors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to category teams to source better services and/or achieve better pricing.
    Helps facility understand all local contract details.
    Helps to organize and maintain a centralized contract database of all local contracts.
    Identifies contract opportunities for services contributing to standardization of processes, higher levels of quality patient experience/care delivery, and overall cost reduction.
    Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on service sourcing strategies, practices, and procedures.
    Assists the Materials Management and Departments in the administration of the supply/equipment contract portfolio, contract compliance and utilization reports.
  • Measures, monitors and ensures vendor performance and customer service.
    Ensures service providers meet defined requirements, goals, and targets.
    Maintains terms and conditions for purchased services agreements and contracts.
    Helps facilitate new service proposals and complete required forms.
  • Coordinates the evaluation process for current and new supplies; develops comprehensive criteria and specifications for the selection of products/suppliers to maximize usage and compliance with existing contracts and standards.
    Provides on-site management of CHI compliance initiatives.
    Introduces new protocols relating to purchased services to the vendor community in accordance with established procedures and CHI national guidance.
    Oversees ongoing monitoring and auditing of contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    Coordinates the contracting process with the category team and vendor as required.
  • Develops RFQs, RFPs and formal bids for contracts.

Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline strongly preferred, and three (3) years of increasingly responsible related work experience, that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities preferably in a healthcare environment.

Licensure/Certification:
Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) through the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) is preferred.
